serve 是指「（餐廳）供應食物或飲料」或「效力，為工作付出」的意思

並可以搭配 out 形成動詞片語 serve sth. out 表示「繼續工作、擔任職務直到規定時限」。

Serve sth. up 是指「向…提供」或是「分配飯菜」之意
